jag-get info in finder

in osx 1.5 or earlier, the get info in finder shows whatever my pointers go i.e. update instantly,

now in jag, it doesnt work this way, i ve to go to finder and click get info for a new window,



is this a bug???

    Actually, this is a feature.



    There are now *two* ways to "get info" on something. The default is what you have found. This is how it had been with every Mac OS until OSX. Many people were upset and frustrated that the info window dynamically changed with your selection and that you couldn't have multiple info windows open.



    The method from the previous Mac OS X is still available. Simply hold the option key when you "get info" on something. That will use the dynamically-changing info pane that you want.

    Apple + i = classic way of Info



    Apple + Option/Alt + i = "Inspector" which is like it was from 10.0 to 10.1.5
