is it in some way possible to connect 2 extern apple displays to a new MBP?
They need to be indepandant, not just the same view on the 2 screens...
thx
FWIW: Provantage sells a Trendnet USB to DVI/VGA adaptor for $63.95.
"USB - VGA Adapter. The USB to DVI / VGA Adapter uses a USB port on your computer to connect to a high definition DVI or VGA monitor. Connect your desktop or laptop to a DVI monitor and experience the visual impact of 32-bit True Color Depth technology and a sparkling 1600 x 1200 high definition image."
Very good question. Technically YES becuase DisplayPort is supposed to be able to daisy-chained like firewire technology. I don't know if a special splitter box is needed or not, but i doubt it, I think the circuitry in the monitor itself should handle it.
So the issue here is , does the LED Cinema Display has another female mini-DP plug for daisy-chaining ?. Did not see that stated in the specifications of the display. What ?. Apple is going to sell us a $50 splitter ?. Or worse still a $99 powered Dual-DVI like thingy with mini-DP out instead of of DVI ?.
