Flashing file during transfer
Transferring from an IBook G4 to a MacBook and in the middle of the transfer via firewire, the new computer told us to reboot it. When we pulled up the old computer, it froze, with the Finder icon flashing into a folder with a question mark in it. I rebooted with the option key down and got two icons, a "go back" icon on a button and a an "arrow" icon on a button. Only the go back would work and the computer would act interested in a minute and then freeze again.
What did we do wrong and how can I recover the old computer long enough to finish transferring? Thanks much for any help.
