IT-students join the ADC - it really pays off

Dear friends!



Just recieved my copy of Jaguar today - and I didn't pay a cent. Well, ok, I paid $99 half a year a ago to join the ADC (Apple Developer Connection) as a student member but got a decent discount on my first Apple hardware purchase.



It seems, you get all OS updadtes for the yearly fee menioned above.

    No, just a student. You have to be taking a Computer Class to get the hardware discount. Check on the ADC site for the exact details. I've been a member for a couple of years. It's a great deal.



    From the site:

    1. Sign up online with the Apple Developer Connection for U.S. $99.

    2. After agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, you must identify yourself as a student, fill in your student identification number, and write in your School Name on the "Your Information" page. To be eligible for the ADC Student Program, you must be currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at a college or university, have a student identification number, and be at least 18 years of age.



    3. Purchase the Student Developer Program. You will receive an e-mail welcoming you to the Apple Developer Connection.



    Your Membership benefits will begin as soon as your purchase has cleared. Please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery of your first ADC Student Orientation Kit.

    ADC student membership is definitely good stuff, just got my copy of Jaguar and it's working quite nicely on my iBook. Since they added the WWDC sessions on ADC TV to our membership, it's well worth the price, since I think getting the WWDC sessions on ADC online for regular members costs several hundred bucks by itself. I'll definitely be watching some of those sessions when I get some free time.
