What iPhone/touch app would you like to see?
I have 3 in the pipeline, one accepted and on the store and two more in review. I need ideas.
I need a suggestion for an app that isn't a game or a graphics-heavy app. Utility, productivity, etc. I suck at GL graphics.
No communication stuff either - Apple is rejecting stuff like MMS, podcasters, etc.
What do you wish that you had on your phone/touch that you could fire up when mobile and get information/etc.?

A simple WP-like app would be great. Zeptopad has its good points, but also limitations. The user should be able to choose a paper size (A4, for example), add text boxes, sketches and photos, though the size restraints will make photos tough. Save as photo and mail away.
A simple audio recorder/editor that will allow insertion at any point, cut and deleting. Most of the current apps seem to only allow tacking on to the end of a recording.
Some apps like FourTrack have a great way to get data off the iPhone and on to your Mac using WiFi. This could be used for the above two apps.
A simple animating app that saved to movie would be awesome, but it doesn't meet your criteria.
How hard is the iPhone to program for? I learned BASIC way back in the dark ages (aka, the early '80s) and haven't done any since. However, I have an idea for a product for my current company but nobody can program...
For programmers who have not done Objective-C but are experienced in C programming, it should take a few weeks, even less if they know any object-oriented language such as Java, Ruby, Python, or even C++ to some extent. All they have to do is learn the particular ways to do the same concepts they were already doing on their current platform.
Objective-C is a superset of C.
Tell me more about the WP app you mentioned. Basically text, images from the Photos library, and then mail it off?
Just a couple of thoughts off the top of my head at 5:50 in the morning after no sleep:

- choose page size and orientation, or input your own dimensions
- text would be entered in text boxes
~ boxes can be edited, resized and moved at any time
~ no need for linking boxes for text flow, though that could be nice
- simple images can be sketched on the page
~ this would be nicer if the individual sketch lines could be grouped and later moved as a unit
~ later editing of the sketch would be a plus, but not essential (can always use another app for good drawing)
~ color, line thickness, fill and line
- photos can be imported from the Photo app and resized and positioned
~ memory limitations will inhibit the quality of the photos, but the point is there
File Management
- can save to photo library and then mail at will from there
- can import directly to you home computer over WiFi
The main point is the ability to define the page size and preview it as a page. Teachers could make worksheets, businessmen could write letters of apology to their stockholders (heh), doctors could quickly write letters of referral, etc.
Maybe along the lines of Google Docs.
OpenOffice.org would be excellent, it's already available for Macs and works with open standards and proprietary one's.
A VM running WinMo...
...just kidding.
