Changing Default Browser ?
For some reason, Chimera was working for awhile [a week] being set as my default browser in System Preferences.....
now, it changes to IE every bit or so.......
is there any way to make this a permanent change?
[browser wars = doesn't work in jag. i would prefer to not use a third party app]
if it helps, i'm obviously running jaguar, and i just deleted omniweb off [maybe omniweb's preferences are still around & causing this?]

i really hate clicking on urls & iChat/AIM links and IE opening up....
not that i have anything against it, just that I want my preferred browser to open
Put IE on a disk image and throw away the app. That way, the system CAN'T revert back to it. IMO, using the disk image is easier than stuffing or zipping the app.

I found that if you move the location of a browser then Browser Wars is prone to becoming non-functional and OS X will revert to IE as your default. This has been my experience with 10.1.x and I don't have 10.2 yet. In your internet prefs, try selecting the browser by manually navigating to the app instead of via the choices added by Browser Wars.
Go into System Preferences/Internet/Web and choose the default browser you want to use.

I know about that, what I mean was that the OS seems to be able to keep a link to the app even if you change the name/location.
