Is this Rendezvous at work?
I was connected to my webserver today (viewing from the server) and my IP got resolved as:
<a href="http://mainframe-g4-400.local/" target="_blank">http://mainframe-g4-400.local/</a>
I've seen it resolve from the IP to the expanded ISP url, but this is new. Is this due to rendezvous?

Yes, the ".local" pseudo-domain is used by Rendezvous' multicast DNS for link-local adresses.
