I just purchased the mini display port to vga adapter in hopes to hook my macbook up to my samsung flat screen. my television says it does not recognize the signal, but my macbook recognizes the samsung display. please tell me what you know...
Maybe the frequency and resolution aren't recognized by the TV. Check the native display resolution and Hz in the manual. If the required resolution doesn't show up on the Mac, you might have to use a 3rd party software to output a non-standard resolution. There are a couple but I can't remember what they're called.
