Problem regarding MySQLdb with Python

Good Morning,
This is sam here. I am doing a small application on Python programming with HTML on Apple MAC OS X. HTML is the view page, Logic is Python and database is MySQLdb. I used an interface MySQLdb as an interface which connects python with MySQL. So i followed the procedure as per guided in the manual. But my system says that some 'Environment Error-MySQLdb not found'. Its occured when i compiled the setup.py in MySQLdb interface. I am unable to find the exact solution.
If anyone knows how to connect a HTML page with python and from Python to database. Please guide me the process.
