Jaguar and G3/G4 CPU upgrades

Hi all.

I've heard that Jaguar (OS X in general) won't run on Macs with G3 or G4 CPU upgrades. Is this true only with pre-G3 Macs?



What about G3 PowerMacs (Gossamer specifically) with a G3 or G4 CPU upgrade?

    it will run, but it isn't supported by apple.

    My neighbor has a PowerMac 9500 w/G3 350Mhz upgrade card in it and works like a charm. The only thing with his computer is that it takes a while to open the Finder. I'm not sure if this is true will all upgrade cards.
