Yes. Check the preferences settings on your iPhone... a setting for "Fetch New Data" and also for "Mail, contacts, calendars" ... the settings you need should be pretty easy to figure out.

I checked my iPhone settings for "Mail, Contacts, Calendars":
Under "Accounts"
My .Mac account says that Mail is On: Contacts, Calendars & Bookmarks are set to off.
When I turn Calendars to "On" it says "syncing with MobileMe will remove your existing calendars
from your iPhone" & there is a sync & cancel button.
Should I manually enter my iPhone Calendar appointments & Birthdays into my MobileMe calendar
prior to checking the "On" checkbox or is that unnecessary?
