this place is selling probably the 5-16-06 macbooks. They posted last time that they had about 20. I went and payed them a visit. they are selling these with Leopard, MS Office 08. When I looked at "about this mac" and went to applications I found that it also has installed CS3 Premium!!!

Now, drumroll! no osx discs, no ms office 08 discs and no CS3 discs. Can they sell these like this. This may not bother some of you but I'm the kind of person that likes the proof.you know when and if I get audited using this thing for freelance. I am not an advocate for borrowed or shadily obtained software. Heeeeeelp!!!

Sounds very very dodgy ("dodgy" is Australian for "shady") ... CS3 licensing and activation, then qualifying for CS4 is a pain in the butt. You need the original installer disc and the license number which is not a pirated license number.

    No Leopard disc means...

Well, the whole thing sounds dodgy, like I said.

People do this, people enjoy it, but, for you, it will only cause more trouble than whatever you're saving. What are you going to do when you need to reinstall Leopard and iLife 08, for example? If your drive crashes and you've got a deadline to meet and you've got to reinstall and re-activate CS3?

And what sort of warranty coverage are you getting? Remember even if those have full 3 year AppleCare warranty that 3 year warranty will run out in several months time.
