Connection using python and mysql

First of all I Wish U A Very Happy and Prosperous New Year. May ur dreams come true in this year.
I'm new to python in Mac os. I have done a small programs in python but now I want to do an Web Application. So that I have designed an login page. But, I can't understand how to check the validation part and also how to connect the database. In Jsp we can give the validation part using javascript. Here, how we can give it. Please suggest me how to go further.One more thing is that I'm doing in mac os x. For this I require a help to go further.
