iPhone+data plan...+airport extreme=...able to transmit wireless internet to Mac Pro?

I have a Mac Pro with the Airport card inside it, and am currently surfing via wireless from an airport extreme (white box) plugged into walljack via ethernet.

I am looking to see if I can backwards this up and save a few $$$.

I'm looking forward to buying a 32GB iPhone this week (after announced).

And getting the full monthly data plan for it.

However, if I can cable-up the iPhone to my Airport extreme, and recieve an internet signal on my Mac Pro same as now, that would be absolutely perfect, and frugal.

If anyone has advice or can confirm I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

Peace.

The iPhone does not support tethering which is what you want to do.

Buy a cheap phone to do this and swap in your SIM.
