iTunes launch failure

in iPod + iTunes + AppleTV edited January 2014
iTunes will not launch on my PC. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall (all Apple programmes) several times. I also tried to download Quick Time alone (without iTunes) - and Quick Time would not launch either.



The iTunes error messages looks like this:



AppName: itunes.exe AppVer: 8.0.2.20 ModName: unknown

ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: b984065e





Anyone experienced the same thing?

    Have you removed ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING Apple related, even things with iPod in their name? Have you restarted the PC? Have you downloaded the latest versions of iTunes?



    That is what I had to do when iTunes wouldn't open.

    I will make a list later today of Apple related stuff I uninstalled from my PC ... Hopefully someone will be able to identify something I missed and that will solve the issue.
