Speaker pops

Hi - I may be imagining this, but since Jaguar, when my G4 wakes from sleep the speakers make a big old pop before doing anything. I don't remember any pops on OS 9 or pre Jag. Is there a fix to this or is this normal?

    I don't know if I'd call it normal, but I see the same thing on my machines.
