iSight doesn't work, why?!

I've been trying to use my iSights webcam function through 3 or 4 different programs on which it used to work, but now doesn't, I think it's because I deleted some programs on my mac (Photobooth for one) but am not sure... Any body knows why?



And if it's the photobooth reason that I think it is, then how do I get those programs back on my mac?

    deleting photobooth shouldn't affect the use of the isight cam



    Try this



    Goto the apple menu => About this Mac => click more info then click USB the isight should show under there if not try restarting your mac and then see if it shows up.



    lets know what happens



    To get photobooth back get the install DVD and use pacifist (shareware) to install just photobooth if you have any problems doing that lets know and I will make a step for step list of how to and post it for you.

    It would also be helpful to know which 3 or 4 programs it used to work with that now don't.

    Where do I find the apple menu, sorry I probably sound like a dumbass, but my computers language is danish, so it got different names and isn't directly translated..



    And I don't know where my install DVD is, lol.



    Also, if I open the system settings (or whatever the name is in english) and I type in iSight in the searchbar, it doesn't highlight anything



    @ addabox: just different IM's, either the webcam screen is white, the program freezes or its just constantly loading

    The Apple menu is the little blue Apple logo in the upper left corner of your display. Click the logo.

    I found it under the mac menu thing, so it's there, the little green light is also on when it runs, it just doesn't show for the viewer
