Anyone know how to force said app to open all link in a new tab rather than a new window?

Nope, my uncle lost his left arm in Nam so I'm trying to set it up for him. If I could only get him to switch...

right-click the link, then select "Open Link in New Tab" from pop-up
click the link, it opens in new window, then select "Window/Merge All Windows" from application menu
oops... found!
middle mouse button opens link in new tab

This is what he's currently doing but since the feature is available on the Mac I thought it may be available on the PC as well. Apparently, it isn't

You can't ctrl-click?
- right-click the link, then select "Open Link in New Tab" from pop-up
- click the link, it opens in new window, then select "Window/Merge All Windows" from application menu

alas... apparently middle mouse button works quite well. i didn't know this option before.
