Youtube iPhone Question

I've noticed that some of the youtube videos I want to see don't work. I'll see this picture instead:







I thought that all new videos that are uploaded to youtube are iPhone compatible. What gives?

    Ah, it looks like they processed freshly uploaded videos, while you were trying to watch them. Their "processing videos" takes usually quite some time.

    Does the time to process vary greatly? I've watched videos that were downloaded an hour earlier &

    there are other videos that I can't watch that have been uploaded 24+ hours earlier.

    It does actually. Not that I saw delays longer than 24 h, yet it happened not once, that I had to wait overnight for a video to become viewable. Sometimes it takes just minutes though.

    My hypothesis may not necessarily be true, but your screenshot suggests that right away. Frankly I never faced issues like that on iPhone.
