Has anyone else got the same problem as I have - new dual processor G4; ADSL connection with Speedtouch USB modem which works fine on my old machine. I've downloaded the drivers specified by Speedtouch (1.6 and upgrader 2.0) and still can't get the thing to work. I've reinstalled the system, reinstalled the drivers, been through all the dsl diagnostics - it seems to be a driver software problem, but Speedtouch say it's nothing wrong with their drivers. Any help welcomed...

Some broadband services link your line up with a specific MAC address. You should contact your provider and ask if they do this. If they do you will need to tell them the new MAC address of your new machine so they can fix things on their end.

My alcatel speedtouch has an ethernet port and I use it. I was afraid of the situation your describing so I coughed up the extra bucks for one of the alcatels with ethernet AND usb. Might want to ebay your old and get a new one. That would certainly fix it. 10.2 doesn't care what type dsl modem I stick onto it as long as it's ethernet.
