Ok so I am looking to buy a macbook pro 2.4ghz model and am browsing around to find the cheapest deal, so here are my two options:

From the Apple Store for £1259 with student discount and no bonus goodies. I can pick up applecare for macbook pro on ebay for around £150 i'm guessing which covers me for 3 years but doesn't cover accidental damage

or

From John Lewis (a well respected department store if you don't know) for £1320 but with a free included 2 year guarantee? The 2 year guarantee i have read says that it covers accidental damage which I have a feeling applecare doesn't including.

So I am asking is it worth the extra £70?

Thanks

Ali

For accidental damage? Of course it's worth it.

Definitely worth it for accidental damage.

If you're a higher education student, btw, you can get the MBP for £1163 inc VAT, and Applecare for another £57.50.

What does it account for as being a higher education student in the UK, is that like at being at 6th form? (When your aged 16-18)
