Charging ipod while downloading photos

Anyone know of a product or way to down load 4-8 gig cards on the ipod without the battery going dead? I get about half way through and it dies on me...not enough juice even after a full charge before starting. It sees you have to use the same port for charging and downloading. Going to nepal and need to fix dilemma
