Why does the Macbook Pro still not have a quad-core processor. Other manufactures are shipping quad-core laptops. It seems Apple is falling behind again.
Because Apple wants to have the most well designed laptop, with a priority on thinness. The <1 inch thickness is vital in their mind. A quad-core processor would involve have a thicker (1.3+ inches), heavier (8+ lbs), less portable, and probably noisier laptop. That's not part of their business plan. When a quad-core fits inside a 35 Watt TDP envelope, they will likely have a laptop with a quad-core.

Well I hope they hurry up, because Crysis can barely run on the current macbook pros.
Sounds like Crysis' developers need to learn how to optimize their game a bit better.
