Need Help with an Fujitsu SnapScan S300M

I need help with an Fujitsu SnapScan S300M. Specifically, I am trying to change the file save option from PDF to JPEG. It says that I first have to set the color mode on the "Scanning" tab to color and then change to JPEG on the "file option" tab. However, when I do this, the pull down menu that allow to select PDF or JPEG is still grayed out.



Any help would be appreciated.
