would this macbook pro config be good?

i'm thinking about upgrading my dual 1.8 g5 powermac (2gb ram), i just want to make sure this computer will be faster.

macbook pro 15"

2.93 core 2 duo

4GB ram (hopefully upgrade to 8 though).

128GB solid state drive (OSX, apps)

500GB 7200 HDD (for all documents, photo, itunes, video) replace superdrive (optibay)

most work will be done in CS4 (photoshop and flash). with some heavy aperture use as well. occasional FCP/Motion/Maya.

so will the laptop be as good as my g5?

AFAIR, 2.5" 7200rpm drives are only up to 320Gb

I'm also interested in responses to this question. I'm currently using a dual 2.0 GHz G5 (4 GB ram), with an ATI X850 XT video card (256 MB), and I'm thinking about getting a 15" MacBookPro with the 128 GB SSD drive. How is the MacBookPro (with its NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT, 512MB) should compare to the dual 2 GHz G5 (with its ATI X850 XT video card) ?
