Macbook and Linksys WRT54G

Just got a MacBook after (too many) yrs on the PC side. Also have a WRT54G router that is not currently in service. New to this forum and I wonder if anyone can point me to instructions on how to configure it for use with the MacBook. Mac is my only computer (no fixed desktop) now so I'd like to be able to use it wirelessly from various rooms in the house.

Or, would the APPL Extreme or Time Capsule routers be the way to go? Many tnx!

There's nothing that you would do differently to the router to make it work with a Mac. Just set it up as you normally would. Not sure if that's the question you're asking, though.
