kernal_task: 8-9% cpu on one iMac and 1-2% on another
I have two identical 24" 2.8 GHz 1 TB HDD 4 GB Ram Aluminum iMacs. One is at work and one at home. Both have a similar programs installed. Work has much less but I run the same core programs on both computers.
I recently noticed that the Process kernal_task is taking up between 8 and 9% CPU while at work it only takes up between 1 and 2%.
Any thoughts to why this is?
I have Blue Tooth kb and mighty mouse on both computers. When I say identical, they are!
I use MobileMe to keep everything sync'd and SuperDuper! for backups.
I find this odd but was wanting someone to comment before I go uninstalling every app and widget I have to figure this out. My sanity will thank you.
