Softbank Japan's iPhone discounted monthly data plan extended

softbank just (may 26) announced that it is extending the period for its discounted iPhone data plan. the special discounted data plan was due to expire 5.31 (widely thought to coincide with a new iPhone in early June). now the same discounted plan has been extended to 9.30.

    Hmmm... Announced June, on sale many areas (aka, the US) in July, worldwide in late summer?



    Sounds about right.



    Or, Steve is going to announce it once he returns so early July on sale immediately.

    Whichever, I will be keeping my current one until my contract is up next summer, unless the new phone is too good not to get. The new OS looks like it will satisfy me for a year. Hope the apps follow!

    16GB models (both black and white) are out of stock at Orange.



    Though they're perfectly available at SFR and at Bouygues.



    8GB model is universally available.
