Installing apps for X11

I downloaded the Apple X11. No probs. I decided to go to <a href="http://www.opendarwin.org"; target="_blank">www.opendarwin.org</a> and download Gimp to play with. I downloaded Gimp and the needed gtk library. I installed Gimp and the gtk kit with no problems, and I was surprised to see them use a OS X Aqua installer (complete with cute little hexley the platypus imagery). When the installer was completed, I launched X11 and tried to find the Gimp binaries/executables using XTerm, but I couldn't find them. I did find a couple libs, etc, but no "app". I have been able to run the default X11 proggies + tools from the "/etc/x11/" folder with no problems.

Where is the default location for Gimp in X11? Any ideas?

I spent 3 hours messing with it last night, and at the end of all of it, I used fink and had it all done real easy.
