Iphone Edge network "acceptible speeds"
My wife has my old 1G Iphone. She says that the Iphone sucks, that none of the apps work, and she don't see why anyone wants one.
I gave up my 3G to carry hers around for a couple of days. It does indeed suck. Web pages often fail to load, ditto for Maps and the App store. Timeouts for network connections are truly awful.
I did some testing, and here in Atlanta and environs I'm getting EDGE speed test results of 15-30kbps. Often the speed test fails.
Here's the kicker. If I turn off 3G on my 2G Iphone, it behaves exactly the same way.
Anyone else even using EDGE any more? Especially in Atlanta.
