iPhone 3G S about to ship

I placed a pre-order for a 32GB iPhone 3G S through the Apple Online Store on Monday evening. I just checked the order status a few minutes ago and the phone is now listed as "Prepared for shipment". So, I presume, it will ship in the next day or two in order to make the promised June 19th delivery date.

    They'll likely be shipping direct from China like most the Macs do; it'll be interesting to see if Apple allows them to ship 'organically' where some show up Thursday or if they'll be tightly managed NOT to arrive before Friday. Anyone with experience on this?
