Networking Issues

Not sure if this has been discussed/is being discussed somewhere on AI. I am using a Linksys WAP with 4 port switch with my Powerbook 800 and built-in Airport. There have been times when the connection between computer and base station have been lost and I usually have to mess around with the cable modem and router (power cycle, reset, etc.) to get the connection restored. I am only about 10 feet away from the WAP, so I know it's not the Powerbook case causing interference.

However, this problem has increased ever since upgrading to 10.2.3. I know of a lot of people who have had similar problems once upgrading. I thought the 10.2.4 upgrade would solve things, but it hasn't.

My question is: is this connectivity problem a router problem or an OS X problem?

If it is the router, would an Airport Base Station be a better option than Linksys? And if it is the operating system, well I guess there is really nothing I can do.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
