Everything's a network

Somehow, while I was transferring files off my old B&W tower to my PB, OSX decided that all my plain folders are really network connections. So I've got all these cool looking globe icons about the place now. (Newly created folders use the correct icon, BTW.)

But the novelty has worn off now -- I'd like my old folder icons back. Any suggestions?

First of all, can you cut such an icon from an affected folder? If yes, you could search the HD for all files identical to the icon and delete them from CLI. If not, you could delete 3 files (sorry, can misspell their names): LSAppications, LSClaimedTypes and LSSchemes from ~/Library/Preferences.

Thanks, moving LS* to a temp directory seemed to do the trick. I have to admit that I'm still a little intimidated by OSX: with Classic I had no hesitation in ripping out any prefs that offended thine eye....

    Cheers!
