Newbie here to the board so if this is in the wrong section forgive me.

But I was wondering if you can make your Pro Studio Display a "TV" I want to be able to hook my Xbox 360 up to it at work, so I can play Xbox on my lunch breaks

Thanks in advance for any feedback

    Hi,

The EyeTV Hybrid or EyeTV Diversity will turn your Mac in to a HDTV and allow a Games Console to be connected by S-Video (so not in HD).

i think i saw another post that a cell computer from gene_technics will do the trick. It does evvvvverythiiiinng.

Also, make sure to bring along some kleenex and vitamin C. Your M$ product will catch a virus Apple products are usually immune to.

all joking and pointless applism aside...I'd go with the elagato. I have the 250 to hook up my Wii to my 20 inch imac...while it isnt the best its pretty frickin sweet.

I'm not really that impressed by any of these things. I think your best bet is probably going to be to plunk down $900 or whatever on a 26" flat screen TV and just stick it in a discreet corner of your office. I don't see any cost-effective way to get HD video on the ACD. PLus, if the powers that be make you stop, at least you'll have a cool TV out of it instead of some box you're never going to use.

    19. Is there any way to play Xbox 360 games through a large HD screen (Apple) which only has a DVI connector? I heard Microsoft may release a DVI cable. Will this be ready for launch?

Since there is no Xbox 360 cable with DVI or HDMI output, you’ll need a VGA to DVI adapter if you want to connect via a DVI input.

    This cable should do

If you don't already have an ACD but were only thinking of getting one get a dell monitor, they've got component.

No, it won't do. There is no analog inputs on the Apple Cinema Displays, and the analog pins on the ADC's DVI connectors are missing. You would need an analog to digital converter.
