I like TelePod. Kinda rolls off the tongue real nice but since it's not a portable device, that name is unlikely.

Nah, Teleport. It's simple, familiar (in terms of everybody has heard the word before, so it will be a cinch to remember), it's totally appropriate too (teleport, beams your media to your Tele/TV), and sounds cool to boot.

Are you getting that new product Apple just release? It's Apple's Wireless "N-draft" media centre, it's really really cool!! I must go take a look at it, what's it called? It's called Teleport. Wow that's a cool name, I bet I know by the name they want you to connect it to your TV, right? Right-on!

I like Teleport too. Showtime has the same sound as Quicktime.

    What´s "cool to boot ?"

Well I assume you know what cool means? And "to boot".

not that it would be necccessssary, but what if it DID have an ipod dock integrated. Again i dont know why it would (a little redudant considering the very purpose of the teleport) but it would be pretty handy for an external hardrive or charging your pod.

on further thought, and changing the subject, they should team up with everyones mac-tv recording system to create the telegatoport.

    im a winner

That's gonna be tricky cos there's gonna always something people regularly watch on cable.

I could buy several of my fave programs but some of the other ones I probably wouldn't think of buying.

    Really?

I'm sure sure which cable system you have, but mine offers live programming, like news and sports.

Except here in the good old UK, we have a cable company called Telewest, who have a product called Teleport. It allows you to watch some of the past weeks TV on demand. Very nice feature.

That'd cause almost as many problems here as iTV would.
