Probably lost interest. The problem with the open source movement is most of the stuff is done as a hobby. When the authors lose interest it pretty much dies.
Thats the problem with the whole OSS movement. Where do you get support once the folks who wrote something realise they are spending enough time writing software for free and watching others packaging it and making a profit using free labor that they get tired of the whole thing and move on.
Don't confuse the Beta number with the patch when talking about releases. The latest NeoOffice is 2.0 Beta 3 released on Aug.29th as mentioned above. But then updates are mentioned and a patch is an update....the latest patch brings NeoOffice to 2.0 Beta 3 Patch 10. If you look at the NeoWiki site, it will tell you what each patch addresses.

That said, the latest release I know of is November 1st. Beta 3 Patch 8. The August release is just the straight Beta 3.
What happens is you install beta 3 and if there's a new patch when you start it up, it sends you to this page:

Basically, you install Beta 3, then install the latest patch.

I don't think anyone got that confused, but it was a good idea to make it clear.
It looks like they patch it as often as I use the software.
