Powerpoint file viewer for OSX?

I've been fruitlessly searching for a Powerpoint viewer for mac for my sister. The Microsoft version is completely ancient, and I'm surprised they don't have anything updated. I've installed Neooffice on her MacBook, but it's a bit overkill for just printing her lecture notes.

Anyone know of a shareware/freeware app that does the basics?

Thanks in advance

If she's in college/university: can't she get Office:mac for cheap through her school?

That's how i got my office, it only costed me 20 euros (about 16 dollars).

Otherwise keynote (part of iWork) should be able to open powerpoint files.

It's 170 euros here... even with the student discount

Haven't used it myself, but Zoho Show claims to import PPT.

It doesn't keep formatting very well, but is most likely good for lecture notes. Costs $20, which is probably overkill for something as simple as this, but it's the only thing I could find besides ThinkFree, which only works if you copy/paste a URL from the web.

Thinkfree seems good - you can drag a file onto the widget and it opens it.

    Thanks for the suggestions all
