"Rumour sites are all and well,

but don't always have the truth to tell.

We go to them just the same,

'cos guessing can be a great game"

We share ideas of what we want

from iMacs to a great new font

We rave and moan and speculate

if Mac Pro's cores will soon be eight

When everything is said and done

We all agree it's been some fun

If you can't get that into your head

I do not know if you have heard

    (Another nugget from the bird)

    Creative people use Macs too

And we have rights just like you

    We express ourselves, very gladly

It doesn't matter quite how badly

    Through OSX, not XP's sister

    The uninspiring Windows Vista

    Dark skies and imposing lights.

Made a show and our delights

But still there's stars in this sky so bright

You'll get more than you asked for.

    Little birdie did fly away

And now I see why little he was

And all his claims were also tiny

So, braces yourselves and spring your money..

    To be continued...

According to latest rumors we're getting 4 new shuffles (probably the other colors).

Would fit. 'there's stars in the sky so bright' could indicate more than one product, and the shuffle is the star (biggest seller) of the iPod line. 'more than you asked for' spells it out explicitly. 'And all his claims were also tiny', well the shuffle is tiny...

We'll know more in a few hours.

    I agree too.

You could also kidnap the guys from Spymac. They always seemed to have all the answers... right?

I think there has to be another Mac Product on the horizon, iPhone and iTV are pretty nifty, and my hunch is that Apple will stagger the products' introductions so people's wallets can recover

The display will incorperate the new touchscreen tech so that no keyboard is required.

The harddrive and most of the internals will be at the display dock and the display will have minimal powerdraw so as to limit weight from the batteries.

The display can be docked in multiple locations and controlled with a remote, one that also incoperates the touch screen interface.

Multiple displays around the house served by one?

The blimbs will distribute starbucks to the birds as they fly by.

My airtunes will still be flacky.

That removable display idea would be pretty cool, but then again I'm thinking you could do about the same, and maybe more with a convertible tablet, but either way I am interested in a better home network with features that either of these options could offer. I'd like to sit on my couch with a tablet and use Painter, or PS to render some concept designs wirelessly to a new Mac Pro, and also look at at it across the room on my HDTV so I'm not looking and drawing on the same screen, at the same time getting a neck cramp.

It really does, I think it might be built around WINE, but I am not sure.

In any case it still has kinks, but If it were me, this is the direction I would go, if I were Apple....

They have a list of compatible apps here.

The only real problem with Apple doing something like this is that it tells developers not to bother learning to develop for the Mac, and that part is a problem. WWDC this year will be extraordinary. I'll bet there will be many companies sending developers to see what it takes to get Mac apps rolling out of their doors.

so we're still waiting for new iMacs! Is you're birdie singing, European Guy? I really want to replace my G4 so I'm hoping for some good news soon!

    Little bird flyes in circle

    Erasing stars in every color.

Sways away and then he leans

Could he spill any more beans ?

"Now the stars are all erased,

Bigger suns are set to glaze"

"Still I see through the glow,

clearer now, as you will too.

    New dimension and always fainter

for all of them and me and you..."

And on the wind, this feather-groomer

is chirping out some half-baked rumor.

Of things to come, or maybe two.

More like a drop of birdie poo.

You see, I tried to learn his song,

and found that every note was wrong.

He wants me yet to hear him sing.

I'd rather twist his little wing.

Once upon a winter dreary, feathers ruffled, slightly weary,

a birdie sang a song that we had never heard before.

It made us think of far off places, photos with jaggies in obvious places,

that we had seen taken on an elevator floor.

Laughs we shared at his expense. "Look at that! It makes no sense!"

we all communicated, "Close your ears and shut the door."

But birds still sing their songs outside, seeing what others like to hide,

like things with a touch of class...maybe more...

Easy now, no need to get that angry. Just one question: is this going to be an update of the existing line?

    Oh little bird

    why so quiet?

    I've got addicted

    to your riddle diet

    I'm thinking about

    all that you wrote

    and I cannot wait

    till the next Stevenote.

    A redesigned iMac

    of that we're sure.

but will it have two cores

    or will it be four?

    Will it come soon

    or with the next cat?

    will it be thinner

    or will it be phat?

    Multi-touch maybe,

    detachable screen?

    a built-in kettle

    for tea with the queen?

    Blu-ray disc-burning

    HD-DVD

    or wireless networking

    for telepathy

    Maybe at last

we'll get rid of the mouse

    and have LED screens

    as big as your house

    But at the same time

    (any less and I'd moan)

    that self-same computer

    is a cellular phone!

    I think that I'm just

    getting carried away

    and all because birdy's

    got nothing to say...

Hey European Guy! I miss you even though I can't decipher your riddles. Let's keep this thread going...
