faxing without a land line

Is it possable to send and recieve faxes with a fax machine with out a land line?

It's the only way I know of, and it isn't free. Works well, though. It's all my company uses.

My company uses eFax, I can't send faxes from my Intel iMac. Other than that it is great. Lately I've been firing up Parallels to do faxing.

Why do you have to fire up Parallels? Mac OS X has faxing built-in and it is supported by eFax as well.
