Extracting Audio From Video

I am wondering if anyone knows a program for Mac that I can use to extract a clip of sound from a movie (avi or even divx) and save it as a sound file like an mp3? A free program is preferred.

Just use Garageband. I know someone probably knows an Easier way, but I create a new Music Project, open the Media Browser, delete the Default Piano Track and Drag the Video over to the Tracks field. I then just delete the Video Track of the 2 new tracks created by this leaving just the Audio, selet Share and send it to iTunes.

ffmpgx will turn pretty much anything* into anything else. There's even a "how-to" guide on the site.
