I have a Powerbook G4. My adapter has a short, I wanted to know if a replacement is covered under applecare, or do I have to go purchase another one.
I wanted to know before I took a trip down to the apple store.

If it is out of warranty and not cover by applecare it will be a paod replacement as there are no extension programs for it from apple. I did a check to see if there where any.
You may get lucky as it being a fault they may replace it free.

I hope so, because an adapter is almost a hundred dollars.

I usually do not replace with an Apple adapter, way too expensive. Try
MacAlly
or some of the other ones. They are less than half the price.

If it's under Applecare, it should definitely be covered. I have had them replaced several times for free.
