in iPod + iTunes + AppleTV edited January 2014
I have a 5th generation iPod video. When I connect the iPod to my computer, the computer does not recognize it. The iPod charges, but it never shows up in iTunes or in my Mac Finder.





How do I fix this? Is there a way to format an iPod without connecting it?

    Try resetting it.

    Doesnt work. I need a way to fix it without connecting it to a computer. I have tried several computers including my new MacBook Pro.

    Is it possible that you are using a cord from a different iPod when connecting it? I now my 3G cord doesn't work with my nano.
