I lost my FCP 3 CD

And phoned to Apple and asked for the cost of replacement CD. For CD only replacement including shipping to Canada is $36 US.

Not too bad....but still kind of 'expensive' for only a CD.

If they don't encrypt the CD I wouldn't have to spend this money.....

Gotta say thankyou to my friend

My friend wanted to see how the app runs on her DA 733 G4. Since the CD is not copyable I went to her place with my CD.

But there was a big mess in her place....I was cleaning up her place with her....and I accidentally threw the CD

    I am not joking

I guess we have all throw important stuff out without realizing. My best was a Mac OS 9 cd. Actually, I pointed the Finger of Blame? <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" /> towards my sister, who pointed it at my mum, who pointed it at me again.

Things went full circle, and my sister ended up paying for a new one

The only CD or anything like that I lost ever was my original OS 9 CD.

Encrypted CD? Thats the first time I hear of that on a Mac.

Anyway, I believe that Toast can do a bit-per-bit copy of cds, ignoring any encryption there may be on it. I know, for windows, that Nero lets you do that. So maybe you cant make an image of it, but you can at least make a hard copy.
