Convert .mp4 To Mpeg2 So I Can Play Them On A Dvd Player

I?m on a MAC iBook G4,i was wondering if there is a converter out there where i can convert .mp4 to mpeg2. because i found a program called dragon burn which allows to to burn mpeg2 files to a cd and the movies will play on a cd in your dvd player. but can anyhelp me find this converter please.???

    MPEG2 files on a CD don't always work btw. they appear as mini-DVDs or something which not all DVD players support.



    Anyway, the two apps I use for mpeg2 encoding are visual hub or ffmpegx. Visual Hub is easiest to use as you just drop a movie on and click encode. ffmpegX is tricky to install and the options aren't always intuitive but it is free.

    Try MP4 Converter, it can nicely convert mp4 to mpeg2 format.

    You are looking for a VCD authoring app. You can find several such apps here.

    What the OP wants is VCD. He only thinks he wants MPEG-2.

    why not just use imovie.
