Is there such a thing as a program that will rip an unprotected DVD to a video file?
By unprotected, I mean a DVD that the author/producer has chosen not to protect with CSS encryption. They do exist. One example is "Crude Awakenings", a documentary that's the sequel to "End of Suburbia".
Giving such information should not violate the DMCA, since it does not involve bypassing copyright protection.
