Given this and fact that Apple has gone with a much larger booth and the special invite headlining " Lights, camera, Apple..." this could be significant and meaningful as usually Steve does not present at NAB and someone like Phil Schiller (mktg head usually does).

Now then let's see what people think now because most posts suggested nothing major at NAB even though in the past Apple has launched Mac pros and other significant new products at NAB!!

And who to trust if not a web site named 'Loop Rumors'?

I can find absolutely "nothing" to substantiate this. That doesn't mean I'm right but thus far ..

    hdforindies.com

    2-pop.com

    LAFCPUG

    DVINFO.net

all are totally blanking on this and many are people that are actually going to the invite. I have to say right now that it looks like LR either has great scoop or is incorrect here. We'll see by tomorrow won't we?

Re Loop rumors and Steve at NAB, since they said 'will' I felt inclined to believe. But now I'm begin to keep my mind open to it not being factual...

Hell I read the rest of the post.

The mentioned the possibility of a Black iMac and updated Macbook Pro. WTF?

Clearly this is the same LoopRumor of yesteryear. I won't be returning to their site. Fool me twice ...shame on me.

I didn't read the link, but they announced that Steve Jobs was presenting at NAB about a month ago. That part is no surprise.

    Dear ashraman, hmurchison, & Friends

I'm really excited about tomorrow's event, but I don't know if it'll hold anything special for this Photoshop user. I was too scared to order the new Mac Pro when it was first announced on April 4 because I thought new displays might be introduced tomorrow.

I began to doubt the likelihood of seeing something better than Apple's 30" Cinema Display, but now that I look at it, wouldn't Apple like to offer a new display in the US$3000 price range? The question is, would that be a larger display, a better display, both, or nothing at all?

If there is a new display, the next question would be, how can I afford it? I have my wife's blessing on the new eight-core Mac Pro with the 30" Cinema Display, and she also let me buy the Creative Suite 3 Design Premium and Fireworks upgrades, and she let me buy Lightroom back in February. If I ask for an additional US$1500-2000 for an upgraded display, she may kick me out of the house.

We're replacing our six-year-old workstation, a 733MHz Power Mac G4 with 1.25GB of RAM and two big CRTs. We're hoping the new Mac Pro running Photoshop CS3 won't take a full minute to save a layered 16-bit file (125MB), as it does on our current workstation, at least when iTunes is playing music at the same time.

Have any Mac sites announced that they're going to offer live coverage from the event?

    Sincerely,

    Jaddie

Looks like we have to come up with a fantastic ROI marketing pitch to your wife. As soon as I know what Apple announces tomorrow I'll define three areas that offer fantastic opportunities for profits and success all laced with RDF and BS but high on the "Wife Acceptance Factor" (WAF).

I don't know about Cinema Displays but I'd certainly welcome seeing some LED models hit. I can't wait for tomorrow...well I can. I'm going to be slogging quite a bit of wine tonight with the lady at a shindig so if I'm lucky I'll be coherent enough to formulate some opinion on Apple's announcements sans "wine head" hangover.

I don´t buy it - Steve Jobs has NEVER presented at NAB, it was always Phil Schiller. Also, usually the invitations for special events go out of their way to mention Steve when he´s presenting ("Please join Steve Jobs..." etc.). It´s a Broadcasting Convention, nothing but broadcasting and video-related anouncements.

Get over it, people - WWDC is where it´s at.
