What hard drives can be used inside a Mac Pro?

    Any SATA or SATA II hard drives.

    I can confirm the above, I think I have both types of SATA in use.

    Any appreciable performance difference noticed between the two types of drives?

    I put one of my PowerMac G5 drives into my MacPro and it works fine. When everything is transfered over then I will wipe it as it will NOT boot the Intel machine.
