    Colibricks 1.5 is a great shareware game.

    Civ III is great but be prepared to become highly addicted and spend many hours playing. Guaranteed to cause friction with non-gamer significant others.

    I've tried Civ3, Baldur's Gate II and Starcraft 1.09 on my ice iBook/500/320ram/CD_ROM/MacOS X. Civ3 is just fine, Baldur's Gate II is terribly slow and Starcraft runs flawlessly on my iBook.

    I might try DiabloII LoD on iBook once the MacOS X update is released by the time I might have to prepare a new mouse for this game.

    RtCW? On an iBook?... well you can try it anyway. I doubt you'll get good graphics + framerate. I get around 40 fps with high detail settings on my TiBook 667. <a href="http://forums.appleinsider.com/ubb/graemlins/lol.gif"; target="_blank">http://forums.appleinsider.com/ubb/graemlins/lol.gif</a>;

    the diablo2 series will all work exactly the same on a G3 as they do on my new imac G4 800. other than getting better details in the graphics, the gameplay was the same as it was in my powerbook G3 233/196 ram/2mb ATI Rage. i dont know the fps, but it feels the same. i was actually disappointed that it wasnt any better. the OS X patch still didnt improve anything except that the game loads up much faster and i dont have to reboot into OS 9. i pretty much gave up playing now. i'll wait for diablo 3...

    Re : Red Faction.

    Red Faction is my favorite game in OS X right now. The game play is fast. The graphics are good. And blowing holes in walls is great fun ( also part of the game as weapons and stuff are hidden in the walls. The only thing I don't like is there must be a lot of cheats and occasionally someone has to fly through a wall with a overly fast gun a spoil it for the rest.

    I'll second Giants, which was pretty entertaining, and mention Otto Matic...which is a little childish but still a guilty pleasure. I've tried Tony Hawk 2 a couple of times, which runs okay in OS X, but looks like the learning curve is a little too steep for me.

    I also bought Tropico, but have been playing it mostly in OS 9. It's way too slow in OSX...even on my new Dual 1Ghz! I'm running the latest version, so if anyone knows how I can speed this up, please let me know.
