Apple Disses Canada

According to this article, Apple (along with Microsoft) tried to get my country, Canada, put on the United States' "A list" of countries with weak "intellectual property" laws, along with Russia and China.

Aside from the fact that downloading (but not uploading) is legal in Canada due to the levy that we pay on blank CD's and DVD's, I have no idea what we could have done to piss off either of these companies.

Still, I'm feelin' the love, that's for sure.

Edit: To the United States' credit, we were relegated to the "B list" instead.

Why do I think of South Park whenever I see/hear Canada now? Now that song is playing through my head...

i don't like my country being on a list with a bunch of 3rd world countries, but the article is kind of true. i mean, in the theatres there's signs saying no piracy or whateevr, but they never check bags for cameras or anything. but that's the canadian way eh. we don't want to intrude on other peoples privacy, it's not our right.
