Where is the best place to get True type or Type one fonts for a Mac on the internet for free? Everything that I have found says that are free and end up not being so, or they are not true type fonts..... at least that is what my Lightwave programs tells me when I try to load them.

Please help

Well, I don't know what you intend on using them for, but with fonts the attage "you get what you pay for" is very true. Free fonts usually *look* like free fonts, if you know what I'm saying. For anything related to professional design, you'd be wise to check out sites like <a href="http://www.fonthaus.com"; target="_blank">Font Haus</a>, pick five or six faces you really like, and buy them.

Alternatively, in the area of "middle-ground fonts", low-end design applications like Canvas usually come bundled with huge numbers of fonts. Some are good, most are decidedly average, others are lousy. Either way though, they're better than whatever it is you're going ot find for free.

Making a good font face takes a lot of time and attention to detail on the part of the Font Designer...it's only logical the good ones are going to cost you something.
